1978 Greco SE-600 “ORDER MADE” Strat – Bound Fretboard, 12” Radius (Gibson Feel), Burgundy Mist / Candy Apple Red Matching Headstock – Maxon Excel

This 1978 Greco SE-600 “Order Made” Stratocaster is a rare Japanese custom-build from the lawsuit-era, created with specifications that sit well beyond standard production models.

The maple neck is paired with a deeply dark rosewood fretboard and white binding, a highly uncommon Strat feature that gives it a more refined, custom-instrument appearance. The feel is further defined by a 12” fretboard radius, offering a flatter, more modern playing surface with easier bends and increased control.

A chunky D-shaped neck profile adds significant substance in the hand, creating a hybrid feel between traditional Strat ergonomics and a more Gibson-like solidity and support.

It is equipped with a full set of Maxon Excel PU-100 pickups (July 18, 1978), part of Maxon’s early reverse-engineering period focused on dynamic response and vintage-style single-coil behaviour. Expect open cleans, smooth highs, strong mids and highly responsive touch sensitivity.
