Exclusively built for the Japan market for use in the mythical "Lawsuit" era guitars from Greco ... at a time when they were giving the USA built Gibson version a run for its money ... guess why they are called "lawsuit" guitars.
Maxon apparently reverse engineered the now legendary and highly sought after late 1950's "PAF" (Patent Applied For) Humbuckers as found in the "Burst" Gibson guitars from 1958-1960.
The beauty of a good P.A.F. style pickup is that they can be used / installed in every pickup position (bridge, neck, middle) and will always result in GREAT tone!
This particular one was made in 1980 (thanks to the stamp on the back "502101")
