Vanborn Vintage Guitars Presents this rare 1987 Fender Japan ST-33M Stratocaster — a Japanese Fender with an unusual 24.75” Medium Scale. That shorter Gibson-style scale gives the guitar lower string tension, easier bends and a slinkier playing feel, while creating a slightly wider perceived fret spacing. Stratocaster snap with a familiar Gibson-style feel.

This Made in Japan example, features a classic black finish, maple neck and maple fingerboard, retaining its original pickups and wiring. The maple fingerboard shows beautiful genuine playing wear, with natural wear along the thumb side of the neck around the cowboy-chord area. The frets remain in good condition.

This particular example is from the very highly regarded and sought after “E-Serial” period used from 1984 until 1987

The original tuners have been upgraded to Gotoh Japan Magnum locking tuners for improved tuning stability and convenience. A Fender gig bag is included.
