This is a 2009 Keeley Katana V1, hand-built by Maranda — the clean boost John Mayer actually used to hit the front end of a just-breaking-up amp. No clipping stages, no EQ curve, no hype. Just high headroom, high input impedance, and that instant why-does-my-amp-feel-better response.

It doesn’t add distortion. It adds authority. Pick softer, it stays clean. Dig in, the amp gives back. Stack it, ride your volume knob, live on the edge of breakup.
