The late 1970s Aria Pro II LB-650 is a coveted bass from Japan’s famous "Lawsuit" era, designed as one of the closest alternatives to the Gibson L9-S Ripper.
This rare and desirable set-neck version offers enhanced sustain and resonance, setting it apart from the more common bolt-on models. Outfitted with exact replicas of Bill Lawrence low-output humbuckers and a 4-way rotary selector, including parallel/series switching and a "choke" circuit and aged hardware, exudes vintage charm, while the maple neck and rosewood fingerboard ensure smooth and warm playability.
Strung with broken-in flatwound strings, it feels as comfortable as a favorite pair of jeans, perfect for buttery grooves. Inspired by the Gibson Ripper, famously played by Krist Novoselic (Nirvana), Gene Simmons (KISS), and Rick Danko (The Band), this bass embodies a classic era of tone. It comes with a gig bag for safe transport.
