A true punk rock relic straight out of Japan, this 1987 Burny MM-55 Melody Maker is pure attitude and surprisingly lightweight (3.1KG or 6.83 Lbs) for a solid chunky of Mahogany making it ridiculously playable for gigs, studio sessions, or stage destruction.

Exclusively built for the Japan market ... at a time when they were giving the USA built Gibson version a run for its money ... guess why they are called "lawsuit" guitars.

With a chunky “Baseball like” wide feeling neck profile that’s legendary among Japanese collectors — think of the iconic burst necks, same thickness and width, punch, and built for riffs that bite.

Pickup-wise, it features the original single-coil (Joan Jett vibes!) with 6.76 K Ohms output and a double-cut shape sometimes called the “sharkfin” variant. Look closely in the pickup route and you’ll spot the date: Xmas 1987 — a unique historical touch.
